Managing Director

Miguel brings with him 22 years of experience in hospitality industry, including 5 years in hotel operations, 5 years in Destination Management and 12 years in Sales and Marketing. 

He has served some years with Accor Group as the first Groups Manager and established the Groups Department of Novotel World Trade Centre Dubai. He then joined Dusit Thani and became Assistant Director of Sales for M.I.C.E and Travel. 

Prior to these roles, Miguel has both Front Office Operations and Sales & Marketing roles with Shangri-la where he started his career. 

His exposure with Group business spanned more than 10 years. He was instrumental in structuring the first pro-active Groups Team of Fairmont Dubai. Miguel was the first Area Director of M.I.C.E and Groups of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, U.A.E. Although, MICE is his strongest background, he is also very passionate in creating programs for seasoned individual travelers and making sure that they get the best travel experience. 

He has been in Dubai for fifteen years and has seen how the city becomes a fast growing and leading destination for leisure and business purposes.

Jorge Fonseca

Jorge has a different story. He is an Engineer by profession and had worked with several multi-national engineering and construction firms like: Siemens, VINCI of France, and Lavalin of Canada. He was part of the team who built the monumental Dubai Mall. 

Sometimes your other passion comes at a later stage, and Jorge realized that he has the inkling of tourism. He loves that concept of "destination". Like Miguel, he is the biggest fan of Dubai. He can be the best person who can tell you straight the history, facts and figures of Dubai and the UAE – our walking google! 

Jorge has been living in Dubai for eleven years. His strong organizational skills and knowledge about the destination are definitely what an organization is looking for. A multi-lingual, Portuguese being his mother tongue. He also speaks Italian, Spanish, and French.

Be Marketing’s partner and founder since 2008, he has an extensive experience of over 30 years working internationally for large multinationals such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, ITT Sheraton and CIGA Hotels International, and hotels like the Palace of Madrid, the Alfonso XIII or the Marqués de Riscal. He graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid and received an E-MBA from the University of Delaware (USA) and the Swiss School of Tourism & Hospitality - HTW Chur. He has worked on many development projects and strategic positioning of hotels and tourist destinations and has collaborated in major international releases such as WB, Fox International and Paramount.
